Frequently ask questions

Getting organized early is always a good idea. As flower artists, we prioritize quality over quantity by limiting the number of events and weddings we take on each season. This allows us to provide our clients with exceptional service and attention. As a result, our calendar fills up rapidly. Typically, we suggest starting your planning process at least 6 months prior to a wedding or any event that involves multiple flower arrangements. This timeframe gives us the opportunity to search for any specific items you may require. It's crucial to initiate the floral and decor design process once the venue for the event has been confirmed. This allows us to create an event or wedding concept that perfectly complements the venue and its surroundings.

The more information you provide, the better prepared your florist will be to offer creative suggestions. Any information or items you can bring will be beneficial, especially pictures that depict your vision. It would be extremely helpful to bring a photo of your dress, along with swatches and photos of the bridesmaids' dresses. Additionally, consider the desired "style" of your wedding. If you're unsure, your florist can provide suggestions based on your current wedding plans.

Besides recommending affordable flower options, a skilled florist can provide valuable ideas on which flowers would be suitable for both the ceremony and reception. Florists are brimming with imaginative ways to maximize your budget and make the most of your flowers.

It's important to be transparent about your budget. This way, the floral designer can provide you with the most suitable recommendations. By considering your budget right from the start, we can offer valuable advice on flower placement for maximum impact and suggest cost-effective options to achieve your desired aesthetic. Additionally, sharing your budget will allow us to better understand your vision and personality, while also suggesting ways to make the most of your money. Ultimately, this will prevent any disappointment or frustration that may arise from having to change plans due to budget constraints.

The final quote for your flower arrangements can be influenced by various factors. These include your flower preferences, whether they are locally available or need to be imported, the exchange rate, the size and height of the arrangements, the overall volume, the color, and how close your wedding day is to flower holidays like Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Easter, Christmas, or New Year. The cost and availability of each stem can vary depending on the time of year. For instance, lilacs in August will be more expensive compared to lilacs in May, and it can be challenging to find peonies during winter.

In addition to the flowers themselves, you should also consider the cost of hiring vases, urns, arches, candles, and other props when planning your flower budget. Other expenses like labor and consumable supplies such as wire, ribbon, technical items, and oasis foam should also be taken into account.

Labor is important too, florist will customize a floral design plan and remain available for changes, questions and further discussion continually from the beginning of your planning process until the final product is realized on your wedding day. Every floral element and detail of the design will be thoughtfully planned. Blooms will be carefully sourced and processed the week of your event, and then artfully designed and implemented on your wedding day. Once the festivities have concluded, Casa Florea will return to collect all hard goods and remaining floral from the venue.
